Fails in the Test of Faith: A Season of Lessons

In reading this the first scripture that popped on the internet search was "The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people, and your father's household to the land I will show you." In the midst of giving my friend strong counsel and support, the father himself spoke to me. For some time now I have been battling what freedom means to me, not knowing the possible outcomes of life in this next season and my true calling. In the spirit, I was shown a part of the answer I have been searching for in my journey of discovering who I am. But especially who I am to be and what I should seek to become in the eyes of the Lord. Peace and comfort, are two things that struck my heart and presented deep truths of what it means to trust and have faith that even though I feel like I have failed so many times in life or currently that God's plan will prevail. These numbers just came to mind. Numbers that represent a moment I will never forget.

Today as I write this in relief I reflect on the times and moments during the weeks prior that weakened my failure but made my foundation in him even more concrete. God never fails and provided provision in my sorrows for a sign, a voice. This is my purpose to create a journal dedicated to my transformational experience in one of the most destructive processes anyone can go through, military basic training. The time I found God for who he was to me. For the times when my spiritual protection was my saving grace in my mental and physical state and the moments where my worldly capabilities will never outweigh the wonders, God can do. I hope this can be a space where I can use these personal testimonies and experiences to help other young women find power in their strength and obedience to what God's purpose is for him in their lives too.

Sincerely,

Kennedy Elise Perry.
